The story of Jess and Kirk goes something like this: The couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday wine tasting in 2011. There was chemistry, to be sure, and the pair joined their friends on an awkward double date—followed by another date. And another. And on the fourth date, Kirk decided to raise the bar. He took Jess to Zihuatanejo in Mexico, where the couple fell in love.
Fast forward to May 28, 2017: Kirk and Jess stood together under a gazebo at Blue Haven Resort in the Turks and Caicos, surrounded by swaying coconut palms and their closest friends and family. This is where they made the ultimate commitment to love, saying “yes” to a lifetime together.
When Kirk proposed, Jess was living in Boston, while Kirk was in California. And with friends and family living on both coasts, as well as in Europe and Asia, the couple knew they wanted to have a destination wedding—preferably somewhere that would be new to all of their guests. And their Turks and Caicos wedding did not disappoint.
Their wedding day began with a morning of yoga on the penthouse deck, led by Kirk’s sister, Kathy. What followed was an absolutely gorgeous, sunny day for the stylish bride and groom to exchange their vows by the sea, followed by a reception at Fire & Ice, and a party that continued well into the night at the penthouse—thanks, in large part, to the upbeat vibes DJ Dayoh always brings.
Kirk and Jess: If your beautiful wedding is any indication, you’re in for many more wonderful years together!
