Our Process

This is the biggest day of your life – and having someone every step of the way located in your destination of choice takes the burden out of the planning process. We know the island, we know the vendors personally. It takes dedication, commitment and organization to plan the wedding of your dreams and once you arrive on island – we want you to relax so we can take on your stress. We want to work closely with you to understand your vision and to bring that vision to life right before your eyes while you enjoy time with your friends on the beach. We have done this many times before and know how to negotiate on your behalf, how to create an effective timeline, how to recommend the top things to do for you and your guests, and how to advert a crisis. Above all, if a crisis does occur, we know just what to do. We have merged families, customs and traditions and created memories for our clients that will last a lifetime!

Tailored Planning Process
The first step is to send an inquiry on your date.  We will then send you our wedding questionnaire.  This will allow us to completely customize your wedding as no two weddings are alike.  You can go as basic or as elaborate as you like.  We then have many custom add ons to choose from.  Your wedding, your choice.  We charge an hourly planning fee based on the size of your event.  We do not offer basic wedding packages as we want to curate your special day just for you.

Marriage Documentation

Couples must reside in the Turks and Caicos for 3 business days to process paperwork. Those who have never been married must provide a notarized affidavit from their home country and a spare copy for notarization on island, as well as a marriage record index search showing no prior marriages.
Couples must reside in the Turks and Caicos for 3 business days to process paperwork. Individuals who have never been married must provide a notarized affidavit from their home country plus a spare copy to be notarized on island, and obtain a marriage record index search confirming no prior marriages. Divorced or widowed individuals must submit a notarized divorce decree or death certificate. All couples must complete a declaration confirming legal age and non-relation, provide notarized birth certificates and passports, and submit a notarized legal name change, if applicable. The groom must complete a special license for the government marriage certificate. Upon arrival, couples must provide entry card copies, and all necessary paperwork will be provided by Tropical Destination Management one month prior to the wedding date for those selecting a wedding package.

Payment of Services

Methods of payment include: cash, certified cheque, money order, wire transfers, and travelers cheques.
  • Credit cards accepted only if arranged prior to the event (6% surcharge applies).
  • Personal cheques are not accepted.
  • Deposits are required to secure the requested date.
  • Final payment is required on the day of arrival.
  • Couples with outstanding balances will not receive their marriage certificate until payment has been completed.

Below is the travel information required for visitors entering the Turks & Caicos Islands.

  • Effective January 8, 2007, all US Citizens traveling by air must have a valid US passport.
  • Cruise ship passengers have until June 1, 2009 to meet this requirement.
